Fines paid by Companies for breaking Environmental Laws will benefit Wildlife Projects

The Environment Agency says that this money will be used to benefit the environment and will be given to 30 charities that run projects to help wildlife and clean up waterways, and to community groups who invest in public parkland.

The companies who have made the payments have accepted liability for the damage they have caused to the environment and also demonstrated that they have worked to address this and reduce the likelihood of future breaches of such laws.
