Ancorra has recently acquired a specialised ATEX camera system that, when inserted inside a tank, can capture the tank’s internal condition, allowing for our experienced engineers to provide a diagnosis of the tank’s condition and allows our engineers to make informed decisions while treating your Bulk fuel storage.
In tandem with the restructuring of new systems into our services, we also strive to maintain and improve the tried and tested methods people have come to expect from Ancorra Environmental services. A recent job in North Yorkshire allowed for Ancorra to apply its commitment to health and safety by executing a nonintrusive tank clean by utilising our new innovations alongside our current methods to meet customer standards.
Applying the new ATEX camera system to the uplifting process now enables our engineers to accurately use our ADR Multipot Jet Vac tanker to meticulously remove waste inside of any non man entry tanks with minimal disruption to the forecourt.
Once access had been made into the underground tanks, our engineers used the flexible drop tube to temporarily remove the good fuel identified by the ATEX camera inside of the tanks. After uplifting the good fuel from the contaminants inside the tank, the engineers then focused on extracting the waste contents remaining inside the tank, before returning the good fuel back into the tank.
The tank had been desludged alongside removing any contaminated fuel and cleaned to the customers specification. The site manager was very complimentary about the services provided: “The tank cleaning was completed as expected and all to a very high standard, the team on site remained professional and demonstrated a focus on safety throughout”. Ancorra prides itself on not only being ecofriendly but also riskaware.
